Auto Manufacturers Change-over to Medical

It didn’t take long before Ford Motor Co. announced it would be working with the Federal Government to make medical equipment that is needed to fight the coronavirus epidemic.

Soon after, Toyota Motor Corp. announced it will make much-needed face shields and masks, and the Japanese automaker is working on deals with medical-device makers to help them boost production.

Toyota is finalizing agreement with two companies to make breathing ventilators and respirator hoods.

Last week General Motors Corp. announced that it will increase the number of medical devices it will be manufacturing.
