New Auto Sales Record

Posted on: 01/12/2016

The auto industry set a new record for light-vehicles in 2015 with sales of 17,470,659 units. The previous record was established in 2000 with a total of 17,402,486 units.

No single factor can be pin-pointed as the reason for the increase. The demand, low-gas prices, availability of financing and leasing can be listed as some of the reasons. December also had 28 selling days in 2015 compared to only 26 days in 2014.
