Incentives in October

It appeared that automakers would continue to increase incentives again in October after months of steady increases. Then, for only the second time since April 2015 incentives decreased. Autodata reported that spending, on average, was $3,601 per unit a decrease from $3,722 per unit in October 2017.

Here’s a look at what Autodata reported:

The highest average incentive belonged to Chrysler at $5,685 per unit for non-luxury brands. Subaru had an average of only $1,165 per unit and that was an increase of 9% versus October 2017.
