Month after month the Ford F-Series pickup is the number one selling vehicle in the U.S.
If you recall, it’s only been two years since Ford introduced a changeover to an aluminum skin and the competitors were sure this would end the dominance of the F-Series. It didn’t happen and this year the truck is nearing over 800,000 units sold for the first time since 2005.
The F-Series is also on track to a record 40th straight year as the best-selling pickup in the U.S. market. It seems safe to say that this record will never be broken other than Ford going after a record 41st straight year.
At the end of November the Ford F-Series has sold 213,000 more units than its nearest competitor, the Chevrolet Silverado. That represents an increase of 35% over the same period in 2015.
